Friday Collage - Wk 10

Blood Clot

What a title! I suppose I could have called it "erythrocytes trapped in a mesh of fibrin threads" - oh well.

There was detail on the red blood cells that I lost when I put on the top layer of "mesh." I was also concerned that the blue and red wouldn't work well but the touch of pink the the fabric used for the mesh helps pull the colors together.

Hell, you've both lost me with your medical terms! I think you should just call it a wonderful colourful piece of art and be done :)

Maybe you should call it 'Thrombosis' instead? It's a more elegant sounding term saying the same thing, for a piece that deserves a nice name! I think it's GOOD.

I vote for Blood Clot!

Fascinating! I didn't think of a blood clot as that attractive when I nearly lost my Mom to one. I guess I need to look at some microscopic images. I wonder what Sarcoidosis lung granulomas look like. Maybe I should do an image as a collage and throw darts at it.

Gruesome subject, but a great result - actually microscopic subjects could be an endless source of inspiration. Think you need to buy yourself a microscope!

And yes, the touches of pink DO tie the colours together.

Yes, love it. I think the contrasts of colours and shapes are great.
