A Family of Neurons
As I was finishing up the HIV virus collage my daughter made a suggestion for the next week. She has been studying Anatomy & Physiology and recently learned about unipolar, bipolar and multi-polar neurons. She told me about them and did a quick sketch. What a great way to finish up March's Microscopic World!
My collage theme for the four weeks of April is Poetry. I spent a few minutes today pouring over some poems looking for inspiration. I found that I was being drawn to sad poems. I tried to fight it. The last couple of months have been challenging and it clear to me that I still need to work through some things. When I came across "Grief" by Elizabeth Barrett Browning I found the inspiration I needed for the first collage of April!

I feel like I just stole a word from Ms. Browning. I love how she puts words together - hopeless grief is passionless... moveless woe...
Working on this piece this evening has been surprisingly uplifting.
(I've been away from the computer and internet world for the last few weeks and haven't spent much time in the studio. I'm hoping to find my way soon, try to get caught up with projects and correspondences.)
