Friday Collage - Wk 15

when

I've been home alone the last five days. My husband and daughter have been in New York. A quick visit to NYU was on the list but it seems they also managed to see three musical, visit MOMA, drop by Yankee Stadium, eat at the Carnegie Deli and walk and walk and walk. (Hubby's pedometer logged 24,000 steps one day!) They have had a wonderful time! They'll fly home tomorrow - hopefully the latest Nor'Easter that's pounding the area will not interfere with their departure tomorrow afternoon.

I miss them. I miss him. The standard family joke is that he leaves home on a business trip and calls that night missing me - but it takes me about three days to miss him. It was different this time. I missed him right away.

I planned to use a poem by e e cummings for this last week's Friday Collage and when I came across i like my body when it is with your body I knew that was the one!

Great representation of the poem and your feelings. I really like the effect of the halo around the entwined bodies.

I love e e cummings, and that is such a lovely and graceful interpretation of that poem. I'm sure a lot of your feelings went into this piece.

Love the quilt (and the way it captures the mood of the e.e.cummings poem (he's one of my favourites too) - colour pattern line and composition
