Weekly Collage

wk04-09

My, where has the time gone? It's been nearly two weeks since I last posted. (That last sentence woke some long dormant Catholic guilt neuron and I almost started saying An Act of Contrition... scary!) I had a week plus of a cold/virus that kept me lethargic and fuzzy-minded. It's a good thing I've been trying to manage my activities with a Triumph in Twenty strategy a la The Vigorous Mind because while I was sick I'd do something for twenty minutes and then rest for twenty minutes or forty! Studio time took the biggest hit, but at least things didn't fall apart and I'm ready to get back to work.

Creative every day: 40 of 365 done! I've kept my daily doodle calendar current, yay me! It's such a small thing but during my sick downtime, it was a big lift to my day. I finished filling in the white space behind January's page - it felt like a chore so I'm going to work on February's background throughout the month.

Now what?

I'm looking forward to the next chapter in The Vigorous Mind, The Courage Imperative: The Audacity to be an Amateur -- I feel like that's been the theme of my life for many years.
For now: I need to start the soup for tonight's dinner.

Welcome back! Isn't it amazing how a cold can wreck your creativity.

Sorry you've been poorly Kim. You are doing so well with your 365 creativity, I think I should do something like that too, but I'm not as reliable as you are.

Glad you are back! Let's hope the cold and flu season is winding down.

I'm glad you are enjoying The Vigorous Mind. I find my projects leading out in several directions. Projects that I'd hoped to complete within a time frame, just keep expanding.

Where can I find out more about creating a daily doodle calendar? Sounds like fun!
