I finished the cardigan, sewing on the buttons this morning during the hockey game. I am thankful to be finished, pleased with my performance and satisfied that the mom-to-be will appreciate the resulting sweater. My experience knitting is somewhat limited and I resist projects that require sewing seams (my daughter has a lot of scarves!) Completing this project has given me confidence with sewing knitted piece together - I don't like to do it but now I know I can do a very nice job. I think I have enough yarn left over to make a pair of booties which I will try to get done during the next 6 weeks. I believe there were over 4000 knitters competing in the Knitting Olympics - makes for one helluva team!

Bravo, Kim!! You did it! It looks so snuggly and warm, I'm sure the mom-to-be will love it!
