Chucky - The Cheshire Cat
Oh my. I was working on this critter one afternoon when my daughter came home from school. As soon as she saw him on the design wall, she declared something had to change. Both my girls hate clowns, they have always been afraid of them (I think at least one of them blames "Rugrats".) I adjusted the mouth and teeth, but he still has a little creepiness to him. That's why I'm calling him Chucky... he fits right in to this end of October.
I was telling Debra that I'm planning to continue with my Friday Collages and that I was working on the monthly themes. Everytime I look at the list I change it, so I guess by putting it out over the world-wide-web it'll be done and I can forget about it. So, for the next 14 months:
- Fairy Tales (Nov 2006)
- Favorite Artist (Dec 2006)
- Everyday Life (Jan 2007)
- Landscapes (Feb 2007)
- Microscopic World (Mar 2007)
- Poetry (Apr 2007)
- Social Issues (May 2007)
- World Travels (Jun 2007)
- Music (Jul 2007)
- Fashion (Aug 2007)
- Cityscapes (Sept 2007)
- In the News (Oct 2007)
- Seasons (Nov 2007)
- View from Space (Dec 2007)

Yes, he is cute, colorful, and a little bit creepy. Chucky seems a perfect name for this fellow.
I always love your monthly themes and look forward to the rest of this year and all of next...
He's a good Chucky and a little chunky too! Halloween is supposed to be a creepy!
i love the cat! besides, we do enough for our children don't we? sometimes it's ok to do what we want and not them!
WOW! Chucky the Cheshire is wonderful! You really captured the whimsy here.
I found your blog through Virginia's (NeedleandThimble). Your cat is very cool. And definately has the 'Cheshire Cat' attitude.
Love Chucky! Are there any rules to your Friday collage? How exactly does it work?
He might be a little spooky, but he's also kinda cute. And very Cheshire!
After looking at your lists of themes for the Friday collage and the journal quilts and also following those cool links I think I'm inspired to try thinking ahead and setting more parameters and goals. It seems like they would really help one to keep much more focused...always a problem for this 'one'. Thanks for posting!
I am madly in love with Chucky the Cheshire Cat! He looks like a cross between a pumpkin and a cat and really fits into the Halloween season.
YOur planned themes sound exciting; I am going to enjoy seeing how you handle these. It covers a broad spectrum of subjects.
This looks like fun! I think I'll play along.
