A little free time...

My oldest daughter was home from college for a few days this week. She asked if I'd make her a table runner for her apartment - of course I said yes! After a trip to a local fabric store and a few minutes with photoshop (to create the triskelion), I started working on it. It took longer than I had expected, five hours start to finish. The machine quilting simply echoed the center motif but I found the hum of the machine very relaxing. I put the binding on while watching Studio 60.

I enjoyed the West Wing - becoming quite a fan of the collabrative 'genius' of Aaron Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme. So, watching Studio 60 feels like home - backstage drama, characters passionate about what they do, interesting relationship stories, and the adventure of making televison (reminiscent of Sports Night). The show included Sting and the lutenist Edin Karamasov performing two pieces from 'Songs From the Labyrinth' - 'Come Again' and 'Fields of Gold'. I haven't bought a CD in a long time, but this one is now on my list!

Very nice runner.

I've watched West Wing a couple of times, but think you need to be able to watch regularly to keep up with the drama.

I just started watching Lost. I borrowed seasons 1 & 2 from a friend, & now I'm hooked. I'll have to record the new programs though, because I always work when it's on.
