When arlee suggested a csi-psi swap I was intrigued/tempted and signed up way too quickly. Of course, it was the CSI component I that drew me in. There is just something about that Gil Grissom character - "the perfect synthesis of personality and profession". The challenge of working on an "uncute" theme was also appealing. But as I was cutting up these five 5"x5" pieces today, I was seriously questioning my judgment! Maybe over the next few days as I start to embellish these insanely small quilted tidbits I'll embrace the fun of doing inchies/PSI.
csi-psi quintet
I decided to work on a spider and it's web, a disembodied eye, skeletal remains, a beetle (after all, Grissom's specialty is entomology), and a bloody fingerprint. My favorite was the beetle - which is now in pieces... so, I'm considering working on some more.

these are way cool! Such a different method then I chose to use in producing the PSI's -- more or more on the scary end of texture and colour,with "scary" skulls, bats and spiders lurking in them... It'll be so neat to see the variety :-)
OH those are great! Love everyone's different approaches! And embellishing them may be finicky, but it's kind of fun and meditative to work on such a small scale :}
Inspiring and intriguing!!! Looking forward to seeing the end results.
Also love your latest Friday collage and journal quilt, must remember to visit more often ;>
Fascinating, Kim - such a range of images! Look forward to seeing more.
BTW I've tagged you - details on my blog. Hope you don't mind: if you do mind feel free to ignore it!
How fun and fantabulous!
Waving hi. First chance I've had to visit your blog and am enjoying it very much. Even better is the fact that I'm on the list to get some of your csi-psi's. Woohoo! I'm liking these too, and can't wait to see the end results when the swap is done.
How super exciting and yes, your comments about Grissom are spot on. Your work is superb and, as a fellow PSIer, cannot wait to see them live. BTW, is it just me or what is with the Miami dude who mumbles? I'm not such a fan of David Caruso, I'm afraid.
