Lazy day

The weather was absolutely schizophrenic today: blue skies; hail; rain; overcast; windy ; still; rain; and cold. I'm glad I stayed inside.

I'm ready for the holidays to be over but won't take the tree down until the 1st. I'm still enjoying the white lights on the tree in the evening but I want my living room back!

We had a rather interesting breakfast the other morning. Our normal Friday morning group with four of our children (two home from college and two high school seniors.) Conversation did seem to be focused on adjusting to college and our childrens' plans for the future when we were approached by a newspaper reporter. She was researching the neighborhood and was told that we were regulars at the local restaurant. She wanted to interview us for story she was working on. As usual we were fairly candid, hopefully we didn't embarrass ourselves, and who knows what this will do to our "anonymity!" We are trying not to think about it... we get enough stares [those women at that restaurant for hours...]
