stillness

I played around with the colors for the Take it Further Challenge - working on some ideas for patterns. I'm still not sure where I'm going with it. I thought I had an idea but I dismissed it. I am pleased that I managed to get something in the journal although more than once a week would be the next step!

Husband took the daughter up to Portland to catch the train back to school.
The house is so quiet.

Living consciously...

"practice" today was simply to breathe: to breathe in the truths of who you are and to let go of secrets. The premise is that secrets kept in hopes of protecting ourselves from being hurt really keep us from putting our heart out there. It's that old issue of vulnerability. Years ago this resonated with me more and years ago I "unpacked " the secrets. Older and wiser? Who knows, but I definitely wanted to carry less baggage!

love the play you've done with the colours for TIF. Some are very regular, others more "random" feel... I'm sure as they all stew in your dreams and thoughts something will come to the surface to work on :-)

I love just looking what you worked out in your journal!

Like what you did in your sketchbook. taking on both aspects of the challenge is a big bite but I know you can handle it! I am enjoying your "living consciously" dialogue.

I suspect that you want to work some of your ideas (or proably just one of them) into something fabric but I think having them in the journal is also considered "OK". Very lovely sketches--I would love to be able to do those.
