This piece came together so easily. I stitched the fabric I had stamped yesterday into a twelve inch square. Then I pulled the purple fabric out of the scrap box. It was already folded and I didn't even have to cut it. I gave it a quick press, laid it out in the shape of a heart and sewed it in place. To finish it off I ran vertical stitches across the surface. It took me less than an hour and I am counting it for my Thing-a-day!
Happy Lunar New Year! I wonder what the year of the rat will bring?
Living consciously...
Everything you do, you do for a reason. I do agree with this. Of course, it's great when you're doing good, noble, healthy, or fulfilling things. Not so good when it's self-sabotaging behaviors. The one thing I've wondered about for years... make that decades, is: Why is it so easy to get into a fight with the husband? That habit of sparring over the simplest of issues is something we both say we want to change but we still end up going there. I know that some of it is that we both have strong opinions and we love a "good" debate. It's when it turns into that ugly relationship tantrum that I really want to understand. I want to understand it so that I can begin to change it.

That's very cool Kim!
Your talent amazes me, Kim. Recognize that color palette? Isn't it January TIF in different proportions and values? And a great improvement on the original IMHO.
As usual, I'm impressed with your "designing eye" and love the inclusion of the purple and turquoise!
I'm still working on things like why I put so much importance on minor things...I'm practicing on making my communication "kind, gentle, and thoughtful" because I know the tone of my voice initiates some disagreements. :(
I love the shape of the heart!!Purple and orange - wonderful...
