Birthday postcard

Most of the time spent in the studio today was straightening up the surfaces and putting fabric away. I did take a few minutes to pull together a postcard to be mailed later this week. I actually found both activities very relaxing.

Living consciously...

Learning to visualize and embrace essence can be a challenge but Hendricks offers, by way of a practice, an useful idea to begin to develop a sense for it. When the opportunity presents itself, find a way to hold an infant and feel the way this new person is in and of essence.

Not a lot of newborns in my circle of friends these days but I can certainly remember how it feels. I've been working through the Awakening Exercise on Oprah.com as part of Tolle's A New Earth. I'm doing better at learning to develop still and alert attention. It amazing me how sneaky "thoughts" can be - one minute I'm focused on my breathing and the next I'm wondering where the cornmeal is. What's with that?

woww freaky! I was just thinking about making birthday PCs yesterday and I was thinking what fabric I had for cake, and I was going to use angelina for the candle flames and then I opened up your blog! Great Minds, I guess and you actually did it. Mine is still a thought.

Great birthday greeting! Do you mail your cards with or without an envelope?
