Earth Day 2008

Seeing Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson on TV talking about our need to protect the planet had me checking out We Can Solve It.

We do so many things already: CFl's; compost; no papercups, reuseable bags; programmable thermostat; etc. We should consider unplugging or maybe going carbon neutral.

Living consciously...

Hendricks talks of integrity being the foundation of a conscious life and as practice recommends an inspection of your own life's foundation. A shoring up, if you will, of your truths, agreements, issues, etc.

So far this year has been an interesting journey. In many ways I feel like I'm putting together a huge jigsaw puzzle - some parts seem easy, others don't make sense and I swear there are some pieces missing!
Yesterday I discussing with a friend a book that she is reading (Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life by James Hollis) and how the Jungian view is that the first half of life is for being all the roles and for gathering all the stuff while the second half of life is for working toward a mature spirituality by being whole and embracing our own authentic self.
