My theme for the month is authenticity. Originally, my idea for this piece was to make an abstract piece with rejected hand-dyed fabric. I like improvisational work - starting with a general idea and just begin and see what happens. I don't know if I was surprised or not at how the palette is similar to the April TIFC.
I haven't finished my coffee, still need to pack, and straighten the house before we leave in thirty minutes.
Living consciously...
Today's practice is simply to accept your own feelings: At this moment I feel____.
I'm a believer in acknowledging your own and other's feelings. Of course, lately, while reading in A New Earth, I'm a little confused. Tolle describes feelings as energy and the pain-body is a negative entity that thrives on drama. So, I can accept my feelings but just need to make sure that I embrace them as just that and don't feed them to the pain-body or the ego.
Are we having fun yet? (And now that dreaded song "Feelings" is playing in my head!)

I love the shadings and intricacies in hand dyed fabrics - these are all lovely. I like the design and the quilting, too!
I adore those colours, and the design. Lovely piece.
Also, nice to know that someone else works like me - starts with an idea and see what results :)
I love this piece. It came together really well.
