Dress up

I can't quite figure out what this is becoming. It's rather Victorian, bohemian, elfish grunge. Right now scraps of fabric are held in place by pins as I audition colors and patterns. I haven't a clue how to deal with the arms... add thumbs or try gloves (which will probably end up looking like potholders!)

Living consciously...

For practice: identify a troubled relationship your in and figure out what about it is negative.

This gets back to stopping the excuses, blame game, and taking 100 percent responsibility. Indeed, I still have room to improve some relationships but a few years ago I figured out a method that works for me. The relationship was one where everything felt like a tug-of-war game. One day I decided to not play anymore. I didn't quit the relationship, I just stopped pulling and maintaining the tension - I laid the rope down. Trying to "gain ground" on a few trivial issue just wasn't worth it.

I wonder if one solution to the "problem at hand" might be to have your doll holding something...

Excellent idea. I'll have to find something that fits her character.

I think dolls always tell you what they want, they are quirky that way, when you work on them you can even have a very clear idea what you want and it becomes something else altogether. She is coming along well. Quilt pixie has a good suggestion. I haven't checked out your blog in awhile and thought I would after looking at the wonderful journal page you made for me when I was redoing my craft room. I'm glad I checked in and seeing your work has been wonderful. You are so talented!

laura lea Thanks! I can see how people fall in love with doll making. The dolls seem to develop a personality very quickly. It's been fun working with her.
