It's still held together with a few straight pins but I'm closer to having it all in one piece. I like the balance and movement, and as my daughter said 'it certainly is colorful.' The beige area in the lower right quadrant looks odd to me. I figure I can add some beads or something... maybe a purple square. I'll figure it tomorrow.
Living consciously...
The practice is a light one today -- a 30 second appreciation task: Find something ordinary in your environment and study it carefully for 30 seconds.
Easy peasy. With the sketching I've been doing recently, this has become a regular event for me. I have really come to appreciate the simple and ordinary things in life... I still like the other stuff as well!

Brilliant! The balance, the range of values and colors, it keeps the eye moving. Well done!! I wish I could do abstracts like that. Delicious.
love the sense of a pair of eyes staring out at me :-) Repeating the same shape/form in the beige area doesn't detract, while not giving the sense of eyes either... fascinating.
Thanks, Rian!
donna - eyes? hadn't thought of it that way... I'll worry about the beige area after I get it all together.
These colors are wonderful. I'm not bothered by the beige area but then you get to see it larger, in real life.
Thanks for visiting withyour well wishes.
sharon - Thanks. My concern over the 'beige area' is waning a bit -- I think when I was scanning the overall piece I felt I needed to find a weak area. It's a fine line between when to keep working something and when to leave it alone. (Reflecting on your "enough" mantra as I write this.)
