Living consciously...

Hendricks suggests that embedded in the intimacy of a relationship there are two distinct urges: merger and individuation. As a practice he asks you to rate each one on a ten-point scale and then determine what useful information this gives you in your relationship journey.

I want them to both be tens but the pendulum of life with all the activities and events, they take turns bouncing around 6, 7, and 8. Now that summer is over and my youngest has returned to college, I suspect things will settle and I can work on balance and maybe reach for 10.
