Finished anklets

The anklets are finished. The last three inches of the second anklet seemed to go fast - my attitude finally improved or at least mellowed. I left the contrast yarn in the toe. The wool is Panda Wool (51% Bamboo, 39% Wool, 10% Nylon) and it is nice and soft. Unfortunately, it's a handwash/dryflat... wish I would have checked that first. Oh, well.

I got two new books this evening - Twyla Tharp's The Creative Habit: Learn it and Use it for Life and Thomas Friedman's Hot, Flat, and Crowded. I was pleased to see that both of them have nice large print!

Today's crossword was easy. Punky and sniggle are not words that I was familiar with, luckily I could work the puzzle around them.

Living consciously...

I don't get much from practices like the one for today: Say the phrase "I don't know" ten to fifteen times...feel the quality of not knowing in your body...

I understand the point and I have no problem with basking in a state of not knowing. I get it. Now, on moving on.

I read The Creative Habit about a year ago and got a lot out of it! Now that you mention it, I'm thinking I should look through it again... I hope that you enjoy it.

deb - I am enjoying the read. I like the insight, examples, and exercises - and I'm only on page 40 or so. Maybe I'll *finally* figure out who I am and where I'm going. Ha!

The anklets look great!

Oh, good. We'll get book reviews--Tharp's already on my list, but the Friedman I'd like to hear more about. I have The World Is Flat -- very informative.

jen - Thanks. I like the anklets/short socks because they are so quick to make and nice to wear around the house. Both my girls are eying them so I'll be making more.

I haven't started Hot, Flat, and Crowded yet but am looking forward to it. Book review? Verbose ain't exactly my style so my reviews usually err on if I finish a book it gets 3 out 5 stars or 5 out of 5 if I can't put it down!

So far, Tharp's gotta four.
