Voting - check, done!

I fixed an Americano this morning, sat down with my ballot, and voted. All of Oregon's election are Vote by Mail. No line, comfort of my home...perfect.

I worked on the heel flap of the sock today. Not particularly exciting but it's getting done.

A pleasant surprise came in the mail - new colored pencils. I have been talking about getting new pencils but haven't acted on it. It seems my husband was listening. Bless his heart, he ordered them. He also got The Films of Charles and Ray Eames. I had heard of Powers of Ten but I didn't know there was a box set.

Living consciously...

For practice, write the following on 'post-it' notes and place them in prominent places throughout the house: What can I learn from this?

Clever. I probably won't do it although I like the idea. It might be a good journal exercise: In the kitchen today, I learned...; At the piano, I learned...; While surfing the net, I learned...

brand new pencils are always so wonderful -- the smell the first turns in the pencil sharpener... ENJOY!

I voted early Monday, the first time i've done it. What a great feeling. The courthouse was very busy.

Lovely pencils, and it looks like you've put them to use already.

deb - Indeed he is!!

donna - I'm enjoying just having them - untouched in the box... I'll have to set aside a some time for sharpening... oh, but later.

kay - I am so happy to be done with voting. It will be interesting to see the results and what the overall turn out ends up to be.
