Closing in on 2009

I was looking for a new challenge for 2009 and I found one... one that will last all year! Creative Every Day 2009 Challenge
I'm, also, signing up for SharonB's PinTangle Stitch Explorer 2009.

One more (true confession from my inner geek) activity for next year, the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009) starts in two days. This year I'm going to satisfy my curiosity and now is the ideal time to learn more about the cosmos and my place in it. UNAWE is a place to inspire young disadvantaged kids, I found their Cosmovision video on their Cosmovision activity page just lovely!

Living consciously...

The practice today encourages making a New Year's resolution, but make it grand, life-changing, and life-affirming: In the next year, what I want most in my life is...

... to respond to the moment, each and every now, and to live by being 100% responsible for my life. And if/when I need to -- ask what is going on in me that is allowing this to happen and what can I do to change it.

We need to be the change we wish to see in the world. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Thanks for the link to the Creative Every Day challenge which I intend to check out further.

I've been in the midst of planning things for next year, thanks to a book I'm reading right now. I'll be working toward a more Renaissance Mind and have already gotten started!

By the way, the word verification on this comment is "repent"--uh oh! Very rare is the w. v. a complete word and wow, what a word!

Happy New Year Kim. I think my brain lives creatively every day, but it doesn't always get the chance to spread out through my hands and onto the art itself. Hope you have a wonderful artful year.

jenclair - I'm looking forward to the Creative Every Day challenge, just the little nudge I need to help me remember to show up. I hope it works for you as well.

I've notice more and more w.v. that look like words - this was entertaining: security poetry

rian - ...has potential, doesn't it? Of course, by May, I'll be inventing crazy stories about how I managed to get "creatively" out of bed in the morning. Hmmm, on the plus side, I might learn how to write!

Debra - It was an interesting exercise and I'm really glad I made the commitment. I'll probably need a Living Consciously refresher course in about three months... or three weeks!

Terri - Thanks, I hope your year is artful as well. I think inspiration and incubation time is critical and we need to remember to count that as well.
