A quiet day

I had great plans for today. I had a long list and was going to be so productive. Most of my time went to 'straightening up' the pieces that have been ignored over the last three weeks: piles that accumulated, correspondences, magazines, some reading...

By the time I made it to the studio I was still in a clean up /organizing mood and that's exactly what I did.

Today's six-word-fix and photo is of the Meyer lemon tree that was moved into the house before the temperatures dropped in November.

We'll have fresh lemonade in February!

Creative every day: 5 of 365 done!

Now what?

I have to admit I'm just a little lost without my daily Living Consciously readings and practices. I feel like I'm flying solo now. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to crash and burn, but I am missing the structure. I was starting to get down on myself today when I had to stop and remind myself that today is the first day I've been on my own alone in the house and responsible for every minute of my time with no interruptions. I may have spent more time basking in the moment(s!) than I needed to - but it was worth it!!!
For now:
Do the Tuesday NYTimes Crossword puzzle and then head to bed.

Don't those lemons look lovely!

Your lemon photo is nicely framed for a composition. I could see you doing one of your Friday Collages from it.

Seems like every day goes like that for me. But organizing and sorting are very good things to have behind you.

I adore those lemons.

Sometimes we need to clean up to make room for more creativity. Those lemons do look picture perfect.

jenclair - Indeed they do - so much so that I spent time looking for recipes!

Debra - I wonder how to write "lemon" in Chinese? I'll have to see if I can find out.

Rian and Kathryn - I'm counting organizing and sorting as creative activities - I usually find something that inspires me. Those lemons are going to look even better in a recipe, counting the days.
