Virtual Traveling

Oh my, oh my, life is good. I walked into the kitchen and picked up the Americano my husband made me before he left for work. Strolled over to the computer noticed a tweet from Science Friday that fourteen masterpieces from the Prado where available for viewing on Google Earth - Bosch, Goya, Rubens, Velázquez... It would be wonderful to be in Spain at the Prado in person but, wow! Having a little take-my-breath-away moment. (Note to Google: please, pretty please, make plans to extent the programme to work with other museum!)

This so counts as a creative day!
Creative every day: 14 of 365 done!

Now what?

Did a little mark making in the sketchbook and calendar. Too preoccupied with other things to take pictures this evening. I'm still imagining strolling through the Prado after my virtual travels this morning. I must say Bosch's depictions of Hell stayed with me most of the day. I am fascinated with the piece and hope to learn more.

For now: I'm off to see if I have the sheet music for Parry's Jerusalem. Originally a short poem by William Blake, "And did those feet in ancient times."

Yup, sounds like a good day to me ;0)

Your blocks look great and I like the extra colour the orange and green give.

:) Sounds good to me, too. Thanks for the links.

"and build Jerusalem/ In England's green and pleasant land." I've always loved that poem.

Thanks for the link. When I get to a better computer I'll check it out. Did you know that the Rembrandt museum (I forget it's true name) posts a painting a day?

I'm catching up with you and always love to take a quick "browse" through your posts to see what you are up to. I had to laugh at your "reflection" of a wine glass. It was perfect!

Love the little blocks and marvel at those of you out there that work with those little bits. They are quite striking.

I also enjoyed your "chinese" posting and your lemony weekly.

Sorry to hear about your friend. It always seems to me that winter is a time when more people pass away than any other season.

Alis - Yes, I think the slash of the green and orange play nicely but I have a small amount of them so I'll have to plan carefully.

Jenclair - Non ti preoccupare. (Hope that's right!?!)

Kay - No problem.
I went looking for the Rembrandt museum, not sure if this is the same one, but it's wonderful -- Museum het Rembrandthuis.

Annie - Thanks, for dropping by Annie. I/we have been doing a lot more "reflecting" with wine the last few days!
