This is the eighth weekly of the year. Working on dark brown fabric with paintstik, machine and hand stitching, was interesting. I like the hard edge with the paintstik but I prefer them outlined with thread. My fingers are sore from making all those French knots but on the plus side I didn't draw blood. I don't see myself doing too many embroidery project although I did find some useful information in the projects page of Stitch.

I like this piece--the use of dark values and combination of techniques is very unusual. The French knots must give good texture too.
