Deux Coeurs
I dreaded this month's theme, I'm not sure why. I found myself reading more and that in turn caused me to think more about what I would create. I suppose that's the way it should be, at least for me - do the research and then the ideas start to flow.
I thought about making a quilt with everything crawling out of Pandora's box (except Hope, of course) but then I ran across this quote and immediately switched my thinking to the mythology of love. He's certainly more of an Eros than a Cupid (I think of Cupid as looking more like a cherub.) Simple and sweet.

Did you paint the face or just manage to "pick the face" from inherent fabric markings???????? So dreamy and evocative of old paintings!
Ooh! Great face. I love the way the shadows came out - it looks very realistic. The curls are very nice, as it the monochromatic look.
Very classical and pleasing. I admire that your pieces are all so diverse. You are quite good at matching the technique to the subject. I'm so glad that you share with us. It is stimulating and inspirational.
Stunningly beautiful!
I like this very much. Sometimes it's relaxing and calming to move away from the strong vibrant colours for a while. This really is beautiful!.
I love this piece.
How hauntingly beautiful! Love your work and your blog.
