transition
I really had not intended to do monthly journal quilts this year. I was going to "let" the project I made for the Take it Further challenge serve a dual role. But the more I thought about it and the possibility that I might try a different sizes, styles, and/or mediums with the challenge AND I did make these fabric samples - just couldn't let them go to waste. I guess I took it even further.
Living consciously...
I understand that facing deep shameful secrets about yourself can be helpful. Embracing those parts of the psyche that you might hate or consider unlovable. I wouldn't want to spend too much time doing it though. Some secrets, yes - regrets, no... I am the sum of my parts, good and bad. My experiences have brought me to this point in my journey and the next steps I take will be influenced by those experiences, not controlled by them.
Now, I got the tune from The Wiz spinning in my head:
Ease on down, ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down
Ease on down the road
Don't you carry nothing
That might be a load,
Come on...
Ease on down,
Ease on down the road
Ease...On...Down,
Ease...On...Down,
Ease on down, ease on down the road!

What a nice wrap-up to January! I like this hournal quilt a lot and you took the challenge another step. All good!
Very nice little quilt. The colours look very good together in your piece.
I like this very much - very dynamic. It makes me feel like getting up and going somewhere. Thanks for commenting on my blog. One of the nicest things about this challenge is finding previously undiscovered blogs/
I like this one quite a lot--very spontaneous looking.
