Time to make an apron

I finally decided to start work on an apron. I found five fat quarters that I like and began piecing them together. I can't believe that without thinking I began to complicate things. It would have been easier to work out the design with one fabric! Oh, well. I should be able to figure out how to do some sort of a bibbed rectangle with a tie.

Living consciously...

The practice for the day was straight forward, a simple affirmation: I am the source of miracles in my life. This one is easy, I do believe that we create our own miracles - provided that we can 'still' ourselves and be open to the wonders of life. All too often we charge through the day and can't see the forest for the trees. I'm know I'm guilty of wanting/wishing for a big miracle to come my way... not specifically any one thing, just a radical change. I know someone who has decided to move to Sicily with her husband. Retiring from work, packing up and moving. This is her "miracle" - their dream come true.

I am aware and grateful for the everyday (smaller) miracles in my life - perhaps the bigger one are just beginning.

The combination of that deep rose and the orange has such a lovely feeling and then, set off by the black and white - wow!
