My only studio time was selecting fabric for the TIFC challenge this month. Nearly all of these pieces came from the last pile I had pulled out of the cupboard and is varied enough that it should meet my needs for the challenge. I haven't yet decided on what I'm going to do for the challenge but I have decided that it will involve strip piecing and have a utilitarian function.
I'm starting to look forward to my journal time. I'm finding that it's a good transition activity, it puts me in right mood and hopefully will inspire me in the future.
Living consciously...
Today's practice, a simple affirmation: I pay attention to my body, mind, and spirit, and I listen carefully to messages from all of myself.
I do believe in a body/mind/spirit connection. I'm not particularly good with affirmations. Even when I try to embrace an affirmation and attempt to say it with conviction, I often think of Stuart Smalley and then I have a hard time being serious.
"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me."
