Courage and Grace

Twenty-seven years ago, I met the man I married while sitting in the dark waiting to surprise Rosemarie. Tim had taken her out for her birthday and they were due back to their house at any moment. They ran late and Dave and I talked, getting to know each other.

In October of 2006, Tim and Rosemarie's son committed suicide. I can only imagine the heartache that they felt but I was so impressed with their courage and grace in dealing with it. Rosemarie died this weekend, suddenly.

On the death of a friend, we should consider that the fates through confidence have devolved on us the task of a double living, that we have henceforth to fulfill the promise of our friend's life also, in our own, to the world.
~ Henry David Thoreau

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. It's hard to believe that it's now our generation we will lose, and not just our parents.

I'm so sorry, Kim. Your quote is so touching...I often see things through more than my own eyes wishing I could share with those whom I have lost. Take care.

Kim, words can't express the sorrow of your friend's death. Know that I'm praying for her dear husband who is surely grieving both her and their son, and also for you to find strength and peace.
