slowness as a consequence of not getting around to it

I might consider rollerblading on grass.

I peeked in on my husband who was working in the garage and as we were talking he noticed an old pair roller blades hanging from the shelf, he wondered if we should get rid of them. Let me think, one less useless item in my garage...Yes! He thought I'd might wanted to try them on and he'd give me a little push down the hill. Funny man.

Ageless athlete in training - bikes wanted.

What takes up most of the garage is the five or so bikes hanging from the ceiling, plus the other on the bike repair stand. I reminded him that he didn't need roller blades either, his focus is mastering the two wheeler - or at least the purchase of them.

Creative every day: 10 of 365 done!

Now what?

Tomorrow morning he is going on a long bike ride which means I should have a block of time available for the studio. I'm trying to think up a ritual activity that will get me started in the studio, specifically at the sewing machine, something like: make a six-inch block; or make a yo-yo; or make 1 or 2-inch hexagon. Eventually I'd work them into a charm quilt. arrghh... just thinking, should work on a plan...

For now: What I really want to do is to return to the books I'm reading.

I find sewing a string or other scrap block, 6" works to get me to my machine... I keep a bunch of foundations all precut and use whatever thread is in the machine. Doesn't take long, but long enough to get me into the swing of things...

Oooh, a ritual activity. Great plan!

Donna - That's a good idea. I just need to find the thing that will get me going... sometimes it is as simple as turning on the machine! Funny how that works.

Rian yeah... as long as I implement something!

Doesn't reading count as creative?
