Studio time today consisted of finishing up last months Doodle Calendar and taking photos of the five months before that - where did the time go?
I did a little more work on the
September IT! challenge. Started having second thoughts about what I wanted to do and how big I wanted the finished piece to be. Doubt, I think it's a good thing...
Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us 'Something is out of tune.' - Carl Jung
My husband has been telling me that I should watch
Helvetica for the last year or so. Yeah, yeah - so many things to
watch, so little
time. Last night, while trying to decide on a short film to watch, I stumbled upon
Objectified (75 mins) and suggested we watch it.
It's available through Netflix's "watch instantly" program. I really enjoyed it. So did Dave (at least for the parts he was awake for - the two hours of racquetball earlier in the evening wore him out.) Turns out that both of these documentaries films are by Gary Hustwit and he's working on a new film,
Urbanized, that will premiere in 2011.

Yes, time do fly. And it goes faster and faster as you get older (and slow down). Welcome back.
