"Van Winkled" the last five month away

What else can I say? Long time, no post. For the last two weeks I've been telling myself that if I make it into the studio (and actually do something!) I'll start posting again. Ha! Best laid plans and all that rot. So, I've decided to employ a new tactic, post something and then promise to get to the studio. I wonder if this approach will work any better?!

A few weeks ago, before my daughter left for college, I had her and my husband help me hang "Thrytene Ensemble" in my bedroom. I finished it over a year ago (posted here) and had it hanging in the studio. I am so very happy with it and pleased with how it looks above the granny-square afghan (crocheted by my husband's paternal grandmother.)

Rambling on...

Life has been fits and spurts of going and doing, but with winter approaching I think I'll be ready to settle in and get some creative work done. I'm not sure what I'll be working on yet. The only commitment I've made is to an apron that I promised my daughter. I've got the fabric and pattern, just need to sit my a** down and do it!

My hope is that during this next week I think about Christmas gifts I could make for family & friends and see if I can get going on those.

Right now the Yankees are going into the bottom of the 7th leading the Dodger 4 to 1, we'll have to record the rest of the game as we are off to see A Delicate Balance, a play by Edward Albee at the Willamette Stage.

It's been a lovely day.

The wall hanging and the afghan look beautiful together. Hope you can get motivated. Winter coming does help - those long cold days when it's just better to be inside...
I'm feeling a bit more motivated by it myself! Nice to see you back online.
